This is an amazing city. I was here about 10 years ago and it has really been cleaned up and more tourist frienldy. It wouldn’t really be somewhere i would bring kids. Very easy city to navigate around. Food can be hit or miss. Coffee shops vary hugely from commercial ones to more local ones. Loads of shopping but main shopping street has nearly all the same shops as every other European city. Night life is amazing. Red light district not as sleezy as you would think. Everyone needs to go on at least one canal cruise. Use places like tours and tickets to buy tickets for tours they are much cheaper. Amsterdam has something for everyone.

Like other big cities it’s busy and full of visitors and things are expensive. Lots of things one can do. Many food choices. Easy to get around. Not used to many bicycles on the street. Beautiful scenery because of canals.
The medieval Old Centre with the always busy Dam Square and the tempting Red Light District is the most visited part of Amsterdam. Make sure to stop at Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, homes to the best nightlife venues.

Aan de balie waren ze zeer vriendelijk en helpvol. Tramhalte aan overkant, met tram 14 vlot naar centrum Amsterdam. Mogelijkheid om ticket openbaar vervoer in het hotel aan te kopen.”
“It is very nice hotel with young management. All what you need is available. Near Amsterdam city. 5 star restaurant but price is high. Lovely nice life place. Staff are very helpful and kind. Very modern hotel in style. Very secure system.”

Great place to visit more than once in Life, there are plenty to do, but a 3-day visit is enough. It’s kinda expensive, even souvenirs are expensive, so when visiting Amsterdam make sure to bring money enough to do whatever you want. Night life is good, there’s always something to do, for all tastes.
“The room was very clean and modern. Some people might think it’s a little bit far from the city centre but it’s quiet, safe and actually, it takes only 15 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal station by metro! Not far at all!! The staff were very friendly :-)) Next time I visit Amsterdam, I’ll book this hotel again! Thank you for a lovely stay :-)”

Amsterdam is one of the artistic place I would choose for vacation with family, friends and me time….the canals, old building, parks, people were nice, food… but I don’t like the weather, too windy and cold… But having properly jacket and comfort shoes will be perfect. Also shopping in Amsterdam is recommended.
