All rooms are designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, a flat-screen TV with AirPlay and an iPad to control lighting and heating. The private bathroom offers a choice of Zenology toiletries. Pros: Other than the location, this place really was just so-so. Most Marriott Courtyards are cleaner, more comfortable, and have much better service. For the price, however, it wasn’t a bad deal and proximity to both Amsterdam Centraal and many tourist attractions made up for the lack of aesthetic appeal and customer service.
Set in a historic building that dates back to 1855, NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is a landmark in Amsterdam. It is situated right on the main square and enjoys a privileged location overlooking the Royal Palace. Recently renovated, NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky has 451 spacious contemporary rooms. There are 8 family rooms, 35 apartments with canal views and 10 premium triple rooms. Each has individually controlled air-conditioning, Nespresso machines, rain-effect showers and ultra-comfortable mattresses. The height of luxury is the Royal Suite, spread over two floors. A delectable breakfast is served daily in the grand 19th century Winter Garden. A perfect setting for a wedding, the hotel has 20 meeting rooms for up to 1500 people. Opened in April 2016, Michelin starred The White Room is a true gastronomic delight. 3-Michelin star chef, Jacob Jan Boerma, heads the kitchen. Grand Café Krasnapolsky is ideal for business lunches, enjoying views of the Dam Square. To unwind, head to Bar The Tailor and enjoy a cocktail menu hand-crafted by Tess Posthumus.
Moving slightly further from the city centre, the southern area of Amsterdam is home to top tourist attractions such as the Museum Quarter, Vondelpark and the lively markets of De Pijp. Hotels in this neighbourhood are also great for people looking for a quiet break in Amsterdam rather than a party weekend.
Amsterdam has a thriving and diverse nightlife that attracts many tourists. In addition to the traditional bars serving beer and snacks, there are various nightclubs around the city, such as the Escape, Club Home, and Panama. For a safe and quick journey we have a wide range of hotels in Amsterdam city centre that will make your nights out less complicated.
Pros: The Hotel Amrath is a jewel among luxury hotels–beautiful architecture inside and out; clean, spacious comfortable rooms; great accommodating staff; and centrally located so one can walk everywhere. Don’t miss the gorgeous pool and spa.
Verzetsmuseum – Also known as the Dutch Resistance Museum, it has proudly been named the top historical museum in the entire country, with its fascinating and moving displays of Dutch stories in World War II.
Good afternoon Mo I’d just like to say thanks for letting me and my 2 friends stay in your fantastic Hollywood apartment. It was my 16th trip to Amsterdam and the second time I have stayed in your apartment which has to be the greatest place I have stayed in the many times I’ve been there. The location is fantastic and your hospitality is first class and I’m always comfortable & never once have i never felt relaxed during my stay. Your apartment decor is fun and quirky which I always enjoy when I stay there. I hope we were not to noisy and your apartment was tidy after we left. I look forward to staying at your Hollywood apartment again hopefully in September or early next year. Thanks for a great stay Regards Rob Norris
Description Mr. Jordaan provides accommodation in Amsterdam near Anne Frank House and Royal Palace Amsterdam. Around an 11-minute walk from Dam Square, the property is also close to Beurs van Berlage.
The best area to stay in Amsterdam will depend on what you’re visiting for: history and culture, epic nights out or a bit of both. We’ve put together a quick guide to the best places to stay in Amsterdam, and some of our favourite hotels in each area.
I’d like to say the apartment was lovely. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we required. It was so much better than staying at a hotel as you feel as if you have a home base which is much more relaxing than a hotel. The location was ideal. Really close to the city centre on the many trams that went past nearby. It was close to a main shopping area where there were supermarkets etc. And to the local market that was there every day (except Sunday) . The local bars and restaurants were extremely friendly and welcoming…as was everywhere we went in the city. I would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone looking in this area and will be looking for availability here next time we visit Amsterdam Thanks again for all your help with my cancelled booking/re-booking Anne-Marie
This award-winning B&B sits above the celebrated Italian restaurant of the same name. There are two room types, standard and studio. The studio has its own kitchen so you can prepare your own meals and snacks.

The hotel’s facilities include free wifi, a 24-hour reception, a private garden with a terrace, and continental breakfasts are available. The smart rooms feature free wifi, flat-screen TVs, and desks.
Quiet, but reasonably close to the city centre. The host cares about your experience, and gives alot of helpful information about the apartment, the community, as well as transit info. The apartment is very well equipped.
“I am so glad that i chose this hotel. the location is so good, it’s just 3 minutes walk from amsterdam amstel metro station, from there you can easily go the city centre. the room was spacious, the staff was so nice. ”
Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport is really close to the city centre and therefore really easy to get to via a selection of public transport. The easiest way is to hop on the train, which takes around 20 minutes. Alternatively, there are a selection of buses outside the terminals that travel direct to various parts of the city centre. Otherwise there is a busy taxi rank by the airport where you can pick up a quick, cheap cab to your destination.

Amsterdam is a cosy city, with a flurry of winding streets, tall, narrow houses, and cute bridges popping up over the array of canals. Strolling through the markets, past the design-led cafes, and the boutique shops is like stepping back in time to a world where cobbled streets ruled and friendly faces were around every corner. There’s a wealth of art and design throughout the city too, with a number of galleries, studios, and museums showcasing the creative atmosphere of Amsterdam. Fit in with the locals by hiring a bike and whizzing alongside trams, over humped bridges, and into the labyrinth of cool, quirky streets. And, afterwards, soak up the intimate ambiance with one of our apartments in Amsterdam, where you can stay in a budget flat or boutique holiday rental in the centre of all the action.
Amsterdam has always been one of my favourite places to stay From cheap hostels with your mates to high end luxury with your fiancé it’s all available Loads to do in and around Amsterdam Fashion district is worth going to see Grab yourself a bike and go explore

This five star bed and breakfast has contemporary rooms with exposed beam ceilings. It’s adults only, so you can enjoy a very grown up stay. Although it’s a B&B, breakfast isn’t served on-site: instead you get a voucher for the celebrated Vlaamsch Broodhuys bakers just along the road.
Cons: Room had odd shaped useless bedside tables. Counter was the only shelving facility in the room. Not enough for toiletries, phone/charger, wallets etc. we ordered dinner in the room and had no where to place the dishes except if we removed our stuff or ate on our laps. Most uncomfortable design. Hotel was located 15 minutes away from the charming city hub (on foot). Overall it didn’t add any good impression to make it worth returning to.
Parents with small chidren would probably be most happy to keep themselves out of the main tourist crowds, red light district and noisy bars. We would recommend to get Amsterdam accommodation in the area around Vondelpark, the largest park in Amsterdam that offers a lot of entertainment for kids. For accommodations in and around the park see our page on Vondelpark.
Jump on your city bike or hop on a canal boat and admire Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! The beautiful city houses, romantic bridges, iconic canals and street cafés create its unique atmosphere and give you an ultimate taste of its fascinating past.
This lively hotel is right in the middle of the Red Light District. The rooms (and apartments) are decorated with playful touches like graffiti, vibrant wallpaper and neon lights. The hotel’s bar regularly hosts DJ and live music nights.
Pros: Cannot say enough about how great our stay was here! We extended our stay by a day we loved it so much. The prices were very reasonable. They checked us in 2 hrs early with zero hassle. All of the room supplies were included. While not exceedingly spacious, everything about the room and hotel oozed modern style. There was interesting literature on the shelves. The beds were clean and comfortable. In the lobby was a hip restaurant with delicious and affordable faire which we frequented almost every day, and at night became a popular bar until 1 am. There were many other places to eat, shop, or stroll past from the Hoxton’s central location, but it was far enough removed from the main tourist areas to feel somewhat local. I would recommend this place to anyone except maybe those traveling with children, as I believe they had to “cheat” to fit us into a single room, and we are smaller than your average humans as it was.
“Alles (ontbijt, locatie, kamers) gewoon top! Hotel ligt op 5min wandelen van het Amstel Station. Je kan de auto makkelijk parkeren in de gratis ondergrondse parking. Kamers heel mooi en badkamer zeer…”
